Brewed by the prolific Scottish brewery, BrewDog, #Mashtag 2016 is a beer for the people. The result of a series of surveys, the chosen beer was a 10.5% Triple IPA brewed with four American hops, sour cherries and oak shavings.
Pouring orange-tinted amber with a generous creamy head, Mashtag releases a range of tropical and citrus fruit aromas, with attractive malty, oaky, cherry notes. The taste is fruity, with grapefruit, cherry, mango, pawpaw, and orange in abundance, with a side order of malty, oaky tones that give this medium- -bodied, slick-textured IIIPA a dry, bitter, floral, woody finish.
Note personnelle:
C’est, pour moi, plutôt une curiosité. Certes c’est une IPA de chez Brewdog, mais un peu déroutante par rapport au formalisme classique des IPA.
A servir pour surprendre.
