Our famous English-style Strong Ale is deep garnet red in color, and features dark fruit and roasted malt flavors, with a slightly bitter finish.
Style – English Strong Ale
Appearance – Dark amber, reddish color with almost an inch of head on the pour. Thick lacing all the way down the glass.
Smell – Strong smells of chocolate, caramel or maybe even licorice.
Taste – Chocolate taste really comes through. Imagine anything dark and you will probably taste it in the first drink. I get very woody flavors as well with smoky malts
Mouthfeel – Medium carbonation helps really spread the amazing flavors around. The flavors don’t linger so I quickly wanted another taste.
Drinkability – This is a beer that, despite its high alcohol content, goes down very smooth. I would really enjoy a six pack of these on a cold day.

This beer is smooth smooth smooth. It is so well balanced and just has something about it that is really enjoyable. At 7% abv, you’d have to be careful because these can sneak up on you quickly and I’ve had to tell myself to slow down (it’s really damn good if I didn’t mention). This would make a perfect beer to sit around on a cold night and slowly enjoy with friends. It would pair perfectly with a bowl of beef stew or pretty much any hearty meal. From their website, it looks like folks west of Louisiana are pretty much out of luck so you’ll have to head east to try it.

Une bonne bière américaine de « Style Porter », avec de bons arômes de cuir de chocolat.
Une finesse au goût, et une très belle longueur en bouche, sans s’imposer de force.
